Seeking naturopathic physician to work at Amenda Clinic, Portland’s only dedicated holistic and mental health clinic.

 

Seeking to hire soon and start within a month of hire.

 

Great team environment including three psychotherapists, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, two acupuncturists, a nutritional therapist, a massage therapist, and two NDs. The practices of the current NDs are relatively full, so we are seeking referrals for new ND patients.

 

Requirements: Licensed to practice in the state of Oregon. Must be willing/able to see patients for 25 or more hours a week, and to work Saturdays. Willing to be credentialed and to bill insurance. Must be a great team player. Must love working in mental health. Must be motivated and reliable. Must be willing to do blood draws and lab processing 3-4 hours a week.

 

Terms: Technically an employment position, but in reality a hybrid private practice. Compensation is at percentage of total income, with some minimum income requirements. Currently no benefits available, but includes required contributions to unemployment and social security. Many business aspects taken care of by the clinic, including some scheduling, billing, EMR, medicinary, and some marketing managed by clinic.

 

Strong candidates will also have: Background/additional training in mental health and/or addictions. Be able to monitor and conduct biofeedback sessions. Training in IV nutrient therapy. Experience with adolescents and/or pediatrics. Familiarity with psychiatric medications. Already credentialed with insurance panels.

 

Expect to start seeing patients eight hours a week initially to grow to 25 hours a week within 6-12 months. Expect to enjoy a lot of laughter with the Amenda staff.

Office Manager 

 

Job Description: Coordinate all aspects of administration and office management for this multi-practitioner clinic. Manage receptionist(s), coordinate work with in-house biller re: insurance issues, and be able to step in with billing on occasion. Order and management of medicinary. Social media management, including weekly blog posts (written by practitioners),  Facebook posts (in coordination with other practitioners), and website updates. Assessing for and implementing efficient protocols and procedures for the clinic, and with electronic health records and practice management software. Liaison between front desk and practitioners, between labs and practitioners, with outside practitioners and referrals, and with pharmacies.  Assistance with HIPAA and OSHA compliance, and staying current with Oregon labor statues and requirements. Managing classes and room rentals. Interfacing with accounting. Human resources, including staff scheduling, organizing staff meetings and retreats, hiring, integrating new employees, and working with employee contracts. Medicinary, medical supply, and office supply management.

 

Requirements: Prior experience managing a medical office with three or more practitioners. Great people skills, in terms of interfacing with patients, the public, and managing staff. A love for holistic medicine and mental health and addictions work.

Terms: 25 hours a week to start, which may increase to 40 hours a week over the next six months. No benefits at this time, with the exception of three paid sick days annually. Compensation commensurate with experience. Position includes 10-20 hours a week on reception.
