Dr. Monel Chang is a licensed Naturopathic Physician specializing in integrative mental health, somatic medicine, and culturally sensitive care. Holding a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Integrative Mental Health from the National University of Natural Medicine, Dr. Chang brings over a decade of experience in somatic therapies, trauma-responsive care, and body-centered healing.
Their work blends research-informed clinical approaches with interoception training, mindfulness, somatic integration, intuitive eating, botanical medicine, and nutrition for mental health. Integrating psychopharmacology awareness with naturopathic principles, Dr. Chang supports nervous system regulation, sensory processing challenges, and embodied resilience with hands-on and verbally guided support.
Dr. Chang has particular expertise in somatic sensitivity—a heightened awareness of bodily sensations that can shape emotional and cognitive experiences—and works skillfully with individuals who feel “too much” or “too little” of their bodies. Their training includes Continuum Movement, Body-Mind Centering, Hakomi Method, Somatic Experiencing, visceral manipulation, and certifications in Trauma-Informed Care, Contemplative Psychotherapy, and Craniosacral Therapy. They are also a graduate of the Oregon Health Authority’s Innertrek Psychedelic Facilitator Training, supporting safe psychedelic healing and integration.
